Short Weekend
October 8th, 2007Not like weekends are ever long enough.
Still endlessly slaving away at transferring the lecour.net webpages, applications, and domain over to other websites and domains.
- Finally got an answer on hosting subdomains of a particular domain on different servers. Turns out that it was much easier than I thought it would be, since it simply involves editing the DNS zone. Would have been nice to get a straight answer in the first place, though. I sense a blog about IT people.
- At considerable effort, recreated the ancient color palette as one of my ramblings rather than a separate, middle-of-nowhere page as it was.
- Got the Garage Sale website running. Nothing went as planned, of course. Had to fix bugs in the WordPress shopping cart plugin (which I have yet to release) as well as a minor modification to the Devowelizer for WordPress MU installations (which also now needs an update release). Still have to transfer inventory over.
- Saw tons of really crappy websites while searching for documentation on colors. I sense another blog.
- Researched a zillion plugins and themes for photoblogs. YAPB has possibilities, but doesn’t completely satisfy my requirements. And, unfortunately, most themes out there are useless for what I want to do.
Summary: Inadequate sleep, as always. Insufficient progress in transferring my hosted websites away from Spry Networks (no reason other than cost cutting). Insane amounts of endless busy work remain.
