Busy as a Bee Lately
April 17th, 2008Mervyn’s had an insane end-of-season blowout sale this past weekend. Items already priced for clearance where BOGO. A few months ago I bought a $28 shirt that was around 15% off, totaling about $24. The same style shirt was in the clearance sale, so I bought six of them (all the ones they had) in various colors — for a grand total of $18. I bought a few more shirts at $4 each, and then a bunch of things at the more “normal” 33-50%-off sale prices. Nice.
Upgraded the MaNGOS server. Lots of bug fixes and enhancements. Database upgrade was surprisingly smooth. In and out in an hour. WoW FTW! My Gods, what an incredible time-waster WoW has been over the past three-plus years. All thanks to an introduction to the game by Mette, who managed to wisely escape from its clutches a couple of years ago.
Actual blogging has suffered due to the blogs themselves. Spending a lot of time and energy on technology rather than content right now. Rethinking the Magic Keywords plugin completely, plus a few others, and updating themes, styles, and structure. Culling old, irrelevant material in the hopes of something more cohesive. Trying to release some intellectual product in the next few weeks to keep my worldwide ranking up. Getting obsessive about that.
Still dealing with the never-ending Day and Night Furnace saga. Still trying to get one of two houses closed this week. And this frustrating thing called “work” keeps interfering with my list of things to do.
